Ministry of Education Successfully Concludes On-Site Evaluations for the "Recognition and Guidance for Self-Review of Teacher Qualifications in Postsecondary Institutions"

The on-site evaluations for the 2024 academic year under the Ministry of Education's "Recognition and Guidance for Self-Review of Teacher Qualifications in Postsecondary Institutions" project were successfully completed in January 2025. This round of evaluations covered 16 colleges and universities nationwide, aiming to enhance the robustness of teacher qualification review mechanisms and improve institutional self-assessment capabilities.

During the on-site evaluations, the guidance teams conducted an in-depth examination of the current implementation of self-review mechanisms at each institution. This included a comprehensive review of internal regulations, self-review procedures, practical implementation, and outcomes. The teams also provided constructive support for institutional improvement. Participating schools expressed that the evaluations served not only as an opportunity for a thorough review of their self-review procedures but also as valuable support in refining their systems.

TWAEA will continue to assist the Ministry of Education by conducting on-site evaluations and guidance every semester from 2024 to 2028. These efforts aim to help schools establish sound teacher qualification review systems, safeguard teacher rights, promote diverse career advancements, and collaboratively enhance the quality of higher education in Taiwan.
