Completion of Document Review for Special Education, Student Affairs and Counseling Funding, and Gender Equality Education in Colleges and Universities

The Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) has completed the document review for the "2023 Special Education, Student Affairs and Counseling Funding, and Gender Equality Education Operations in Colleges and Universities" project, which is entrusted by the Ministry of Education. The purpose of this project is to ensure the educational rights of students with disabilities, understand their learning situations and needs; support schools in promoting student affairs and counseling activities, implementing student affairs and counseling work; and promote the establishment of gender equality education resources and environments in colleges and universities.
This year, document reviews for three main areas: "The Situation of Colleges and Universities in Assisting Students with Disabilities," "The Execution Effectiveness of Funding for Student Affairs and Counseling Work in Private Colleges and Universities," and "The Situation of Promoting Gender Equality Education in Colleges and Universities," were completed for 37, 25, and 36 schools, respectively. The results of the document reviews show that most schools have dedicated units and personnel responsible for promoting related operations and implementing them to ensure students' rights. The results of the reviews will be approved and announced by the Ministry of Education and will also be available for public inquiry on the TWAEA website in the special section for special education, student counseling, and gender equality reviews (https://reurl.cc/bD4O66).
