Highest Honors for Technical and Vocational Colleges and Universities: National Industry-Academia Collaboration Master Award Call for Entries
To commend and encourage teachers from technical and vocational colleges and universities for their involvement in industry-academia cooperation and the cultivation of technical talents, the Ministry of Education has planned and established the “National Industry-Academia Collaboration Master Award” since 2018. This national award is held annually, and so far, 6 sessions have been conducted, selecting 17 outstanding winners. These winners span various fields including “Engineering,” “Electrical and Information,” “Humanities, Design, Arts,” and “Agricultural Science, Biotechnology, and Nursing.”
The 7th “National Industry-Academia Collaboration Master Award” is now accepting nominations from the announcement date (for details, please visit the official website of the National Industry-Academia Collaboration Master Award). Technical and vocational colleges and universities are encouraged to actively promote their current full-time faculty from private and public junior colleges, technical colleges, or universities of science and technology to apply. The National Science and Technology Council, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, industries (enterprises), and industry (enterprise) associations are also invited to nominate qualified candidates.
Nominated teachers can apply based on their main achievements in practical application research/development, research, and talent cultivation across five fields: “Engineering,” “Electrical and Information,” “Humanities, Design, Arts,” “Business Management and Domestic Science,” and “Agricultural Science, Biotechnology, and Nursing.” The evaluation process consists of three stages: preliminary review, secondary review, and final decision. Key evaluation criteria include industry-academia cooperation projects over the past ten years, patents, and technology transfers, as well as contributions to the cultivation of professional technical talents. Winning the award represents a lifetime honor and includes a trophy and a cash prize of NT$900,000.
