2024 Ministry of Education Review on Special Education, Academic Support Funding, and Gender Equality Education in Higher Education Institutions Progressing Actively
The review process for the Ministry of Education's “2024 Academic Year Review of Higher Education Institutions' Special Education, Academic Support Funding, and Gender Equality Education Operations” is actively underway.
The Taiwan Assessment and Evaluation Association (TWAEA) has been entrusted by the Ministry of Education to handle the “2024 Academic Year Review of Higher Education Institutions' Special Education, Academic Support Funding, and Gender Equality Education Operations.” The project aims to understand the actual implementation of guidance for students with disabilities, the promotion of student affairs and counseling activities, and gender equality education efforts in higher education institutions, starting with the related policies of the Ministry of Education. The review consists of three main aspects: “The Situation of Guidance for Students with Disabilities in Higher Education Institutions,” “The Effectiveness of Funding for Student Affairs and Counseling Work in Private Higher Education Institutions,” and “The Situation of Promoting Gender Equality Education in Higher Education Institutions.” The project has already completed the briefing sessions for the institutions. The next steps include self-assessment by the schools and written review by the review team to help identify and improve issues. The overall review results will be announced by the Ministry of Education at the end of 2024.
